What is BOST TV?

BOST TV is a video-on-demand service that specialises in delivering Anime (Japanese animation).

What do I need to watch anime on BOST TV?

You need a web browser and Adobe Flash Player (version 8 or higher). Try watching a free preview to check if your Flash plug-in works. You do not need to be a member until you want to make a purchase.

Why should I become a member?

You'll need this in order to make purchases, or if you want to participate in the (free) BOST TV forum. When you have an account you'll also get a library which automatically organises the anime episodes and other content you've purchased.

How do I become a member?

Just the usual stuff- choose your account name and provide your account's email address here. Follow the prompts for activating your account in your confirmation email (check your spam folder) and you're ready to purchase and watch paid content (or use the forum). But, for the benefit of recovering your account if you forget your password, please also take some time to fill out the optional "security settings" page.

I didn't receive my confirmation email. How can I get it resent?

Please use the Reset Password page here. Enter your username you registered and if your account has not been activated, you'll be given the option to have the Activation e-mail resent to your registered email address.

How do I change my preferences and update my information?

Simply find and use the My Account link near the top of the page after you log in.

Buying Stuff

What do I need to watch full episodes?

You need to make an account (see above), and then you need to purchase some BOST points. BOST points are purchased via Paypal, which you will be directed to automatically. Just go to the Add Points page to start this.

Why 'BOST Points' and not $ / € / £ / ¥ etc. prices?

BOST sells video content in zones that cover many different currencies- we've simplified the system a bit. BOST points are available in sets of 500, 1000, 2000 and 5000 points at $1.99 USD per 100 points. Paypal will automatically convert it to your currency when you navigate to the payment page. Also, your remaining BOST points are available for your account to use immediately without having to enter your credit card, etc., details for every purchase of paid content.

Can I download the file to my PC to watch later?

No, sorry. This is a streaming-only service. You can watch and re-watch the content as many times as you like within the rental period of course.

When I make I purchase, can I watch the episode on different computers/at school/at my friend's place?

YES! You can watch the episode you've purchased on any computers satisfying the system requirement during the rental period as long as you're logged in to our system.

Season Passes

What do I get with my Season Pass?

Season Passes give you access to all episodes in a series including any bonus extra videos that maybe added later in the season.

How do Season Passes work?

Once you have purchased a Season Pass, you can add episodes to it at anytime. The rental period for each episode doesn't start until you have added it to your Season Pass. So if you miss a couple of episodes as they come out, don't worry, you can just add them later when you're ready to watch it. You can also "pre-order" episodes to the Season Pass before they are released so that you get them immediately on the release date. Be aware that when pre-ordering rental period will start on the release date.

Does my Season Pass expire?

Season Passes do not expire. (Unless explicitly stated) Season Passes are used up once you have added all the episodes in a series and any available extras.

Where can I check if my Season Pass is still active?

Please check under your Subscription History in your Account. It will be listed there and will say whether it is active or used.
